The Party Manual
The Party Manual is an ambitious endeavor. Our goal is to analyse the way that architecture is used in party scenarios. We are interested in the creation and perpetuation of energy for the sake of connection. We hope you will join us in this study. Let's get buck.

Tony

Had a good interview with Tony, the manager at Dive Bar on Short Vine. Dive bar is a simple, beautiful bar, thriving on relationships with regulars. He invited me to pick up a shift tomorrow night in order to experience bar-tending. It’s ladies night and there is a show at Bogart’s as well. Should be interesting.

Stunning Product Design.
The Modern Record Console of the Symbol Audio line (designed by Blake Tovin and Matt Richmond) is a homage to the 50s “all in one” hifi consoles.

“Each cabinet is individually crafted in the tradition of fine bench-made furniture from solid American Walnut. The sculptural metal base is constructed from 1/4” plate steel and hand patinated to create a warm natural finish. As a piece of furniture the MRC will undoubtedly become a focal point of any interior.”

12:34 We went to a party on Saturday night with some youngsters. I walked up with an 18 oz bottle of Colt 45. We met two guys at the front who informed us that several people were vomiting inside. It was 10:40 pm. Walking up the stairs, I said to Monica, “I want to see somebody puke.” We laughed because it was funny, but then it got real. Those kids were breathing that keg and acting a fool.
I pulled out my bottle and some bro sneers, “Colt 45?!”
And I go, “Puking off the banister?!”

a clip from the ‘who we are’ article

“The creation of this publication feels the way we imagine raising a child would feel. It is a separate being that is dependent on us. We recognize it as a long term committment. When it is neglected, we feel an immense sense of guilt. When it poses questions, we feed it answers. Sometimes, we go out and show it off: friends ask how it is doing, and we give them a proud report of how it is shaping up. And all this care is with the hope that someday, we will be able to send it out into the world and watch it function on its own.”
